Global AI safety startup Inspeq AI has officially entered the Indian market with the inauguration of its first office in Bengaluru, located in Koramangala. The facility, with an initial capacity for 70 employees, marks the company’s expansion into one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for AI and generative AI technologies.

The company plans to recruit 50 employees for roles in engineering, operations, and client engagement. This move establishes Bengaluru as the third global hub for Inspeq AI, joining its offices in Dublin, Ireland, and London, United Kingdom.

Apoorva Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Inspeq AI, said, “Bangalore, with its thriving technology ecosystem and innovative spirit, is the ideal location for our first office in India. We’re excited to partner with Indian enterprises to drive impactful change through safe use of AI.”

Founded in 2023 by senior tech leaders Apoorva Kumar and Ramanujam Macharla Vijayakumar, Inspeq AI specialises in AI infrastructure solutions. Its enterprise-ready LLM Ops platform enhances the safety, reliability, and efficiency of AI applications, reducing development costs by up to 70% and making generative AI app development up to four times faster.

The India leadership team includes Manish Atri, Founding Engineer, and Anurag Ranjan, Vice President of Operations and Finance. The Bengaluru office was inaugurated by Adarsh Shastri, former head of Apple India and grandson of India’s second Prime Minister, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Speaking at the event, Shastri emphasised the importance of ethical AI development: “AI is undoubtedly the future, but for it to truly benefit society, it must be developed responsibly. Companies like Inspeq AI are not just innovating but also championing AI safety and ethics, which will play a pivotal role in helping Indian businesses grow sustainably and earn global trust.”

Inspeq AI’s platform ensures AI applications remain compliant with regulations such as the EU AI Act, mitigating risks of reputational damage and financial penalties that can reach €35 million.

The company also announced a strategic alliance with HCLTech, focusing on integrating responsible AI into enterprise toolchains like Microsoft Co-Pilot and AWS Bedrock.

“India is home to some of the world’s most talented engineers and AI experts. We see great potential in building a team that shares our vision of responsible AI development,” Kumar added.
