Indian AI Startup Haber

Pune-based AI startup Haber has raised $44 million in a Series C funding round led by Creaegis, BEENEXT, and Accel. The AI startup focuses on real-time, AI-powered automation to optimise plant efficiency and enhance output.

Haber was started by co-founders Vipin Raghavan, Priya Venkat, and Arjunan P.N. in 2017. The startup intends to use these funds for international expansion, with a primary focus on America. The startup, which serves over 100 clients across India, the Middle East, and Africa, plans to diversify its portfolio using this new capital. Their customers include ITC, Taj, Emami, UB, and Tata Steel.

AI for Data

Haber’s AI and IoT-based service focuses on converting data into actionable intelligence, enabling industries to predict outcomes in real-time while reducing reliance on manual data collection and analysis. The startup also aims to improve performance, reduce operating costs, and minimise water and energy usage for its customers.

Haber offers an Elixa.ai dashboard, which is a web portal that enables users to track real-time data from various plant processes using intuitive charts and a KPI matrix. It also provides the capability for remote control of dosing operations, allowing customers to manage plant functions from anywhere globally.

Pulp and paper manufacturing companies leverage Haber’s automation solution with some of them claiming to have increased production by 2% and reduced chemical consumption by 20%. In the food and beverage industry, Haber’s solutions address water treatment needs and identify trends and dependencies within and between plants.

AI-led industrial automation has been on the rise. The market was valued at $17.3 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow to $65 billion by 2031, indicating the growth in demand for such services.
