Pune Emerging as a GCC Hub

Beyond job growth, Pune is rapidly becoming a key hub for global capability centres (GCCs), attracting multinational corporations that seek skilled professionals and a strong business ecosystem.

Major companies, including Siemens DISW, Barclays, BMC Software, T-Systems, IBM, Accenture, Capgemini, and Infosys, have set up their GCCs in the city.

In November, TransUnion, a global leader in information and insights, expanded its GCC presence in Pune by opening a 59,307-square-foot facility in Panchshil Business Park.

Eric Hess, executive vice president of global operations at TransUnion, highlighted Pune’s strong talent pool and growing startup culture.

“Pune is home to top-tier educational institutions, a vibrant startup culture, and a steady pipeline of skilled professionals. These factors make it the perfect place to expand our capabilities and deliver exceptional services,” he said.

The job market in Pune is experiencing significant expansion across multiple sectors.

A user on LinkedIn’s blog commented, “Pune’s job market is booming with roles like EHS Managers (sustainability), Data Managers, and BIM Architects (digital transformation). With more GCCs opening, opportunities are expanding.”
